In autumn the mountainsides come alive with color, most notably from the enormous stands of aspen trees found throughout the state. Colorado aspen are a kaleidoscope of colors in fall, with greens, pops of oranges and reds and an abundance of yellow. Each year the colors vary by timing and intensity, but it is always an amazing spectacle to experience in person.
