Mount St. Helens, Washington

Fine Art Limited Edition of 50

Mount St. Helens is an active stratovolcano located in Skamania County, Washington, in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Portland, Oregon and 96 miles (154 km) south of Seattle, Washington. The volcano is located in the Cascade Range and is part of the Cascade Volcanic Arc, a segment of the Pacific Ring of Fire that includes over 160 active volcanoes. Mount St. Helens is most notorious for its major eruption on May 18, 1980, the deadliest and most economically destructive volcanic event in U.S. history. Fifty-seven people were killed; 250 homes, 47 bridges, 15 miles (24 km) of railways, and 185 miles (298 km) of highway were destroyed.

Gallery Ultra | Lumachrome TruLife® Acrylic Print | Ready to Hang

Gallery Ultra Lumachrome TruLife® Acrylic Prints are the crème de la crème in gallery quality photographic art and is our #1 choice for ready to hang prints. What makes this medium so stunning? Light that comes in contact with the print refracts within the acrylic material and illuminates the artwork as if back-lit. The process of creating a fine art Lumachrome TruLife® Acrylic Print begins by face mounting the original photographic print under TruLife® Acrylic glass which is scratch-resistant, non-reflective, crystal clear and UV blocking. The print is then backed with an additional layer of rigid acrylic and finished by adding a rear mounted inset wood ROMA frame, which gives the ready to hang acrylic print the appearance of floating off the wall. Lumachrome TruLife® Acrylic Glass Prints are ideal for galleries or private homes and with the proper lighting will take on a luminance that brings the photo to life.

Museum Standard Lumachrome Acrylic Prints offer comparable image quality to the Gallery Ultra Lumachrome TruLife® Acrylic, while at a reduced cost. The process of creating a fine art Lumachrome Acrylic Print begins by face mounting the original Lumachrome photographic print under optically clear acrylic glass. The print is then backed with a protective surface and finished by adding a rear mounted inset frame, which gives the ready to hang acrylic print the appearance of floating off the wall. For these pieces, TruLife® Acrylic is replaced with an optically clear acrylic and a composite rear mounted inset frame is used instead of ROMA wood, thus providing the cost savings.

FujiFlex Crystal Archive Fine Art Paper Prints are a favorite among landscape photographers over traditional photo papers due to its stunning high gloss surface and visual depth provided by the polyester-based material. Because it is a true photographic paper, the photograph is exposed into the silver-halide material and then developed like film (rather than being printed) which allows for superior color, contrast and sharpness. Due to its delicate nature, all FujiFlex Crystal Archive prints are mounted to 2mm styrene prior to shipping. Matting & Framing is required prior to display.
